Cowbell Digital Music is one of the music & entertainment industry's newest and most exciting labels. With relationship partners in USA, UK, Europe and now China, Cowbell is gearing up to set the music industry alight. Boasting of an impressive roster of new talent such as St Paul and Oxygen, both of whom have been picked up by Radio Express’s network of 5,000 radio stations; and Noush Skaugen who currently exceeds twitter records with over 1 million followers, Cowbell Digital Music is grabbing the “bull by the horns”.

With over 9 months in establishment, Cowbell’s digital platform is currently being launched so we are looking for an IT Marketing star to join our already fantastic team. One of Cowbell’s core values is to help the artists connect with the fans so the IT Marketing role is a vital link in the chain towards achieving our goals.

You'll be working across a range of projects including assisting with the artist’s on-line development to their exposure into all areas of the globe, such as the untapped market of China. And already our growing indie label will mean you’ll need to know your Deathgrind Metal from your Americana Folk Music.

Applicants will have 1-2 years IT and Marketing experience (especially Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Youtube) along with a love of music, with the position going to the individual most able to demonstrate the potential of this experience. High energy levels, a proactive approach and the ability to work under pressure are attributes we're looking for. The position will initially be for a 3 month trial period.

In return we will give you the opportunity to rapidly develop your IT marketing career in one of the best and most innovative new labels the music industry has seen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience within the music industry and knowledge of digital media an advantage  

• Maintain new and current content on artist websites and social networks including tour dates, news, videos, banners, etc

• Write, schedule and post news updates on official sites, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks.

• Work with bands and management when necessary.

• Manage content updates to label website and other corporate and artist websites

• Work with production department to create digital tools as needed, including landing pages, graphical images, banners, streaming video, etc.

• Coordinate with video department and digital operations to ensure timely delivery of music videos for online streaming

• Oversee online research, compiling lists of target websites for each artist initiative, maintaining database of key contacts (email, URL, etc)

• Conceive and execute grassroots online marketing campaigns

• Assist with the distribution of new releases to target websites

• Manage online tour promotion

• Maintain artist email lists and oversee delivery and collection of emails

•Coordinate with digital media buyers on keyword/search marketing for artist websites and online campaigns as needed

• Manage artist metadata for online content

• Assist with recruitment and management of online e-teams

• Update weekly online marketing reports

• Assist New Media department as needed
